Orinda: Man hit with 14 charges over hidden bathroom cameras

ORINDA Contra Costa prosecutors have charged a man with misdemeanors for allegedly using hidden cameras to record a woman who lived at a house where he was staying court records show Lunming Yuen of San Francisco was charged with counts of invading privacy and one count of peeping The charges allege that Yuen illegally recorded a woman changing with offense dates from April to September court records show Yuen was a guest at the Orinda home where the alleged crimes took place Personnel describe him as a family friend who later confessed to having a strong interest in the person he allegedly recorded The examination started in September when the woman discovered a hidden camera in an outlet plug according to court filings When confronted by the woman police say Yuen apologized and reported there weren t any other cameras But police interviewed Yuen at his San Francisco home in November and he allegedly confessed to setting up cameras in the bathroom and her bedroom to record her changing according to court records During the police interview Yuen estimated having images and videos of the woman functionaries declared The charges were filed on March Yuen has not yet appeared in court and has a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest according to court records
